When we first met, we were strangers who simply bonded over their love for photography. Little did we know that this passion would lead us to the sweetest friendship and the Lord opening doors for us left and right.
When we both began our careers, we had no idea what our journey would look like, but God had a perfect plan and was writing our story all along. The song “Canvas and Clay” was the inspiration behind the name of our business because we know that everything involved in the formation of this company has worked together for His good. God is the artist and potter of not only our story but also of every couple, family, senior, graduate, etc. that we have the pleasure to serve.

Before our paths crossed, we were both always known as “the girl with the camera”. For every function or family event, we both were capturing all of our fun, life moments with our Canon Rebels. While we both had a passion for photography, we never imagined that we would both be full-time photographers just a few short years later. During this time, we both continued our education and graduated with our Bachelor’s degrees from The University of Southern Mississippi.

In 2021, while both pursuing our passion for photography, we both took a leap of faith and applied for a position as associate photographers for another photography company. From the very first session we photographed together, we instantly became best friends, and we later went on to manage that same photography company. Our love for capturing life’s most precious moments, and our friendship, has only grown stronger!

Over the next few years, we both invested our time into further developing our photography skills and growing more in our craft. We gained valuable experience, learned the inner workings of how to own and operate a business, and most importantly, we spent time growing in our faith and seeking the Lord’s guidance for every step of our journey.

After lots of planning, preparation, prayers, and guidance from the Lord, together we launched our own wedding and portrait photography company, Canvas Collective. We are immensely grateful for the outpouring of love and support that we have received since launching this business. We know that the Lord has truly blessed us with the absolute best community and clients!

Fast forward to now, we are so excited and blessed that we get to be full-time photographers, business owners, and best friends! Throughout our years in the industry, we have had the honor of photographing over 50 weddings and a countless number of portrait sessions, and we can’t wait to continue capturing your most special moments!
